Hello Reader,
I’m so glad you’re here again this week as we continue our journey of getting closer to God—one verse at a time.
Each day brings new challenges, distractions, and choices that can pull our attention away from His voice.
But that’s exactly why these quiet moments in Scripture matter.
When we pause to reflect and really listen, we create space for God to speak into our hearts.
The few words in today's passage are filled with urgency, love, and opportunity.
God still speaks—through His Word, through prayer, and through moments of quiet conviction. The question is, will we listen and respond today?

A Little History...
This book was written to Jewish Christians who were tempted to drift back into old traditions instead of holding fast to Christ.
The author encourages them to persevere in faith, showing how Jesus is greater than Moses, the priests, and the old covenant.
Hebrews 4:7 quotes David (Psalm 95) and applies it to the present: God’s invitation is still open today. This urgency means we should respond to God’s voice with faith and obedience rather than resistance or delay.

How to Apply It To Your Life...
🌿 Respond Promptly to God’s Voice When God stirs your heart through Scripture, prayer, or conviction, don’t put it off. “Today” means now is the moment to respond in faith and obedience.
🌿 Guard Against a Hardened Heart Life’s disappointments, sin, or routine can dull our sensitivity to God. Stay soft-hearted through prayer, repentance, and worship so you remain open to His leading.
🌿 Live in God’s Rest Daily This verse reminds us that God’s rest is not just a future promise but a present reality. By trusting Him today, we can experience peace and assurance even in the middle of life’s struggles.

Let's Pray Together...
Dear Heavenly Father, In this chaotic world, help me to quiet my heart so I can hear Your voice clearly.
Keep me from being hardened by past failures or struggles, and open my spirit to Your guidance, grace, and mercy.
Teach me to trust You completely—to rest my heart and mind in the assurance of Your love, even in life’s most difficult moments.
Never let my heart grow cold because of what the world has done, but remind me daily that You have overcome the world, and Your love for me is greater than anything I will ever face.
Amen.

Let's Sum It All Up...
Today's verse calls us to live with soft hearts and open ears—to be ready, today, to hear God’s voice and follow His leading.
None of us knows what tomorrow will bring, but we can choose today to trust, obey, and rest in His promises.
I encourage you to take time this week to pause and truly listen for God’s voice.
Maybe it’s through Scripture, a conversation, or the whisper of peace in prayer.
Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement to draw near to God right now—not someday, but today.
Please know I’ll continue praying for each of you as you seek to hear God more clearly in your life.
And I ask that you keep me and this newsletter in your prayers as well—that it may reach more hearts and help others grow closer to Him.
Have a blessed day out there,
Quentin.
