Hello Reader,
I’m so glad you’re here. Each time we gather around God’s Word, whether in church, at home, or through this newsletter, we draw closer to the heart of the One who loves us most.
Scripture isn’t just something we read — it’s a living guide that shapes how we think, live, and love others.
This week, we turn our focus to a virtue that doesn’t always come naturally: humility. In a world that often celebrates pride, self-promotion, and putting ourselves first, Paul reminds us.
Humility is not about weakness; it’s about strength surrendered to God. It’s about seeing others through His eyes and letting love guide our actions.
When we choose humility, we choose the way of Christ — and in doing so, we find unity, peace, and purpose.

A Little History...
The Apostle Paul is writing to the church in Philippi from prison, encouraging them to live in unity and humility as followers of Christ.
In chapter 2, he points to Jesus as the ultimate example of humility — who, though equal with God, emptied Himself and became a servant (Philippians 2:5–11).
Verse 3 is a call to reject pride and self-centeredness, replacing it with a Christlike mindset that lifts others up.

How to Apply It To Your Life...
🌿 Replace Pride with Service Pride pushes us to compete for recognition, but humility shifts our focus toward serving others. Each time we choose service over self-promotion, we reflect Christ’s character.
Apply It: Instead of insisting on having the final word in a disagreement, choose to listen and affirm the other person’s perspective.
🌿 See Others Through God’s Eyes Valuing others above ourselves doesn’t mean devaluing our own worth — it means seeing every person as God does: created in His image, deeply loved, and worthy of respect.
Apply It: Make it a habit to encourage at least one person each day — whether it’s a coworker, friend, or even a stranger.
🌿 Practice Everyday Humility Humility isn’t just for “big” moments; it’s built in daily choices. When we step back, listen, and put others first, we open the door for God’s love to shine through us.
Apply It: When you’re overwhelmed with tasks, pause and ask, “How can I make someone else’s load lighter today?” This might mean lending a hand, offering prayer, or simply being present.

Let's Pray Together...
Dear Lord, Teach me to walk in humility each day. Guard my heart against pride and selfish ambition, and help me to see others through Your eyes. Please show me how to value people above myself and serve them joyfully. May my life reflect the example of Christ, who humbled Himself for my sake. Amen.

Let's Sum It All Up...
Humility is not about thinking less of ourselves but about thinking of others more. When we choose to walk humbly, we reflect Christ’s heart in a world that desperately needs His love.
Paul’s reminder in Philippians 2:3 is as relevant today as it was two thousand years ago: let us set aside selfish ambition and seek to lift others up.
As you go through your week, look for one small way to practice humility — whether it’s by offering encouragement, listening with patience, or serving without expecting recognition.
In these simple acts, the light of Christ shines brightly.
I'm praying for you. Please continue praying for me and for this letter to reach many more people.
Let's help others Get Closer To God.
Have a blessed day and week out there,
Quentin
