Eternity Beyond Time- Get Closer To God

Eternity Beyond Time.

“For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night”

- Psalm 90:4

Hello Reader,

Welcome to this week's newsletter! Let's take a moment to explore some Scripture and use it as a guide for our day.

When we prioritize God's Word in our lives, everything changes. Our purpose becomes clear.

Today, in the Book of Psalms, we see how God's timeline completely differs from our own.

When we attempt to view things from God's perspective, we begin to understand the depth of patience and perseverance.

Consider this: our day is just 24 hours, yet God's day could stretch into thousands of years or more..

This perspective invites us to embrace a deeper understanding of time—a realm that often feels beyond our grasp.

Let us remember that in the grand tapestry of existence, every moment is precious, and what seems fleeting to us may hold profound significance in the divine scheme.

A Little History...

Traditionally attributed to Moses, Psalm 90 stands out as the only psalm linked to him, offering poignant reflections on the eternal nature of God in contrast to human frailty.

The psalm highlights the significant difference between God's timelessness and the fleeting nature of human life.

While people often measure existence in years and generations, to God, even a thousand years are merely a moment. This contrast underscores the limitations of human perspective in light of divine eternity.

The imagery in the psalm, such as “a day” and “a watch in the night,” powerfully emphasizes God's transcendence over time.

It serves as a reminder that God's viewpoint is unbounded by the constraints of human understanding, while our lives are remarkably brief in comparison.

How to Apply It To Your Life...

🌿 Trust God’s Eternal Perspective
Since God sees time differently than we do, we can rest in His timing. What feels like a long delay to us may be just a moment to Him. This encourages patience and trust when prayers seem unanswered or when life doesn’t move as quickly as we’d like.

🌿 Live with Humility and Perspective
Our lives are brief compared to God’s eternity. Remembering this helps us avoid pride and keeps us grounded. Instead of chasing things that fade, we can focus on what carries eternal value—faith, relationships, and service to God.

🌿 Use Time Wisely
Knowing that our years are short compared to God’s everlasting nature motivates us to make the most of each day. It pushes us to prioritize prayer, scripture, and meaningful actions, rather than wasting time on what doesn’t last.

Let's Pray Together...

Dear God,
I long to understand Your plans for me, knowing that You exist beyond the limits of time as I know it.

Help me to trust that in Your perfect timing, my prayers, aspirations, and goals will be fulfilled according to Your Word.

Teach me patience and perseverance as I wait on You.

Today, I surrender my life and my burdens into Your hands—confident that in Your time, all things will come together for good.

Amen.

Let's Sum It All Up...

As Psalm 90:4 reminds us, God’s view of time is far beyond our own. What may feel like a delay to us is but a moment in His eternal plan.

This truth calls us to trust His timing, walk with humility, and use our days with wisdom and purpose.

I will continue to pray for you—that you find peace in His timing and strength in His promises.

And I humbly ask that you pray for me as well, that this message and letter may grow and reach others who need encouragement.

If this has spoken to you, please share it with someone who might need to be reminded today: God is always right on time.

Have a blessed day and week out there,

Quentin
